Summer's Almost Over, WAHHHHH!, Swingin' the Day Away & Chicken Pot Pie...

It's back by popular demand! Katherine's Fashions, Summer edition, Swim Wear Collection. The hot season is regretfully over, but I feel the need to extend it just a bit longer. Some of you may remember my previous post, illuminating numerous designs of the past. As God as my witness, I swear some of the popular designers of the late 80's stole my designbook, (think Liz Claiborne, Esprit, and of course, Coke-Cola.) Enough with the chit-chat, I can't keep my hungry fans waiting any longer! I would like to thank my parents and the many swimsuits of Magnum P.I. and the Saved By The Bell - Malibu Sands episodes for their inspiration...

Fashionista's can maximize their look by choosing the correct "Tan Level"

Check out the cut-outs blowing the industry's minds...innovation at its finest
Don't mess with this glamour girl! (I have to admit, I am even wow-ed by my color options for the suit. Tres Chic, even for modern day.)
I have to admit to my embarrassment, these last two are total knock-offs of suits I actually had. I would rock these at the Rec Center pool...too many young girls were green with envy that summer.
Last weekend, we decided to go check-out our local park. We had been hearing wonderful things about it, but we had not had the time to go explore until recently. Plus - we wanted to see how Jasper would react to the infant swings. So, with video & digital camera in purse, we headed out for movie making history...(at least in the life of JJ!) To our dismay, we didn't necessarily recieve the outcome that we had hoped! Not that his reactions were bad...they were just non-descript, I guess. At first he was more into his shadow, once that became boring he was more interested in chewing on his new lovey, Murple. I guess you could say he was content.
Shadow-watchin'
Nom, nom, nom...Jasper loves Murple, the purple octopus bath toy. (At least he has good taste in color.)

Here is the adorable train that rides through the park. It was so cute! Sorry for the bad pic, it totally doesn't do it justice. I can't wait for Jasper to get a little bit older to enjoy it!

Here is the duck/goose pond at the center of the park.

Check out these gigantic koi fish! I wonder how they keep the racoons out!

Park Success! Here is Jasper on the quick drive home...

So, all of us have grown bored with most of the toys laying around the house, and I refuse to go out and accumulate more plastic crap that Jasper becomes uninterested in after a day. Delightfully, we discovered that Jasper is TOTALLY into huge bouncy balls. So, we ran out and purchased one of those exercise balls. Hours upon hours of chasing and bouncing! (Plus - I can use it to work-out when desired. PERFECT!)

Murple makes an appearance...
To end this post, I would like to share pics of the Chicken Pot Pie I made for dinner the other night. It is the prettiest meal I have ever made! (Plus, it is so easy!) Enjoy!
