Oh My...How time has flown by...

Oh my, how time has flown by. For the past month, we have been staying at my parents' house while we anxiously await our house closing in K-town as well as find another place to call home. I'll tell ya, we have been thoroughly spoiled with delicious & nutritious dinners and wonderful company. It has been great to have my mom around for casual conversation while the Peej is at work. It is like having a college roomie again! (Except this one cleans and cooks for me...Could it be any BETTER!!) Needless to say, we have been able to spend a lot more time with family. Jasper even got to meet his Great-Granny for the first time. Great Granny Hale is a hoot...she always has been. She taught us all of our potty words growing up and kept a rubber rat and snake around for a prank or two. Once, when I was young, my friend and I were listening to "The Golden Arm" on LP and of course didn't want my pesky little brother around. He must have gone to Granny and ratt-ed us out. Because she came storming into the room with some panty hose over her head and scared the living-you-know-what out of our 9 year old rearends. Don't worry, we certainly came from the same stock because she got it back ten-fold. Between offering her a cookie (aka dog biscuit) and shanking her pants, we definitely got revenge. Maybe, I will do a blog totally dedicated to Granny in the near future...so many stories so little writing space. By the way, Granny is 95 YEARS OLD! She is looking good. In the meantime, here are the pics of our visit to Richmond...

Well, I was totally inspired by Carrie's cupcake party. My nephew, Brade (pronounced, Brad-ee)came over for the day and we decided to utilize Brade's FAVORITE thing in the world...CANDYBARS as cupcake toppings. We crushed all of my mom's leftover Halloween candy including, Butterfingers, marshmellows, Thin Mint cookies, and Snickers. They were delicious. Actually better after a day or so, the candy bars melted into the frosting. Here are the results...

Jasper has discovered a best friend, a doll that goes by the name, DW. Maybe, you have met her before. She is a character off of the PBS show, Arthur. DW is Arthur's know-it-all little sister. She is pretty bossy and demanding, but Jasper l-o-v-e-s her. I have no idea whether this is foreshadowing for future girlfriends or if it says anything about me. I hope not. This doll talks, she plays games & is always wanting to tell you "what she is thinking". Have I said this before...HE LOVES HER. Here are a few shots of him caressing her hair.

Future hairdresser amongst us?

Notice the big black lab...that is Remy. She likes to lay on whatever blanket is on the floor. One day she actually was laying on this blanket, I didn't have the heart to move her, so I laid down another blanket for Jasper to play on. I left the room for a split second and she had moved over! I guess the saying, "you always want what others have" is true for canines as well.

Well, gotta run...the milk monger is up. Here are a few addition 3 month pics of our little rascal!

Who?...Me?

Man, I am funny.
Man, you are funny too!

Take care!
